Birdie Nests

How cute and yummy do these look!!??  I made these super simple, yet OH SO DELICIOUS treats with my own kiddos over our Spring Break and I want to share the directions with you!  I had seen so many different kinds of “this type” of treat on Pinterest in the past and so I decided to play with the flavors to make a combo that I LOVE!  I hope you love them too!

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees F.

Line your baking pan with parchment paper.

Place as many regular shaped mini pretzels on the pan as you would like.  On top of the pretzels, place either a Rolo (those are what I used this time…for the added yummy caramel flavor!), or you can use a Hershey’s Kiss or Hug.

Next, put the pan in the oven for 3-5 minutes.  You just barely want to melt the chocolate.  You may not even see a difference in the chocolate.  It won’t look melted.

Take it out of the oven and press M&M candies into the center of the Rolo.  I used peanut butter M&Ms in my birdie nests.  Peanut Butter M&Ms are larger than regular; they’re about 2x the size of plain Ms.  The combination of pretzels, caramel Rolos, and Peanut Butter M&Ms was SO. INCREDIBLY. DELICIOUS!

**When you take the pan out of the oven, it will be hot.  It does cool pretty fast since you’re baking it at a low temperature.  If you’re having kiddos help, it will only be a minute or two of waiting to cool before they are able to help put the M&Ms on top.

ENJOY!  🙂
